Spider Barks has been fun, absurd, and dumb. I’ve learned a lot through all the webcomic shenanigans… and that Reddit doesn’t appreciate a good fart joke.

Over the past year, I’ve found myself wanting something more story-driven—a comic that’s meaningful, not just mischievous.
They say, “make the comic you want to make,” and I did. Now I want to make a different comic: an adventure in story, and an adventure for me.
It feels weird to pull the plug as my comics level up, but it’s exactly what I need to grow as a storyteller. It’s exciting and a little scary.
I am eternally grateful to every single one of you for all the laughs, the eye-rolls, and for coming back week after week for the last two years.
